History
The Lambent Kith Nebula, more commonly known as the Nebula, was the governing body of the universe's Celestial Avatars. They hold great power that rivals that of the Spirit of the Abyss, who is their enemy. The Group itself is composed of the 50 oldest Avatars, led by Maura, and almost all of them disregard organic intelligence and consider them to be inferior. Their disregard for organic life is shown when their plan to kill the Spirit of the Abyss is revealed. Their plan was to actually destroy the entire universe again, using the All Forces Nullification Point and recreate it with the Abyss absent. Trance Gemini was one of the most prominent Nebula leaders, but decided to leave because of their callous attitude towards organic life. She ran away from the Nebula in order to enact her own plan.
- According to Robert Hewitt Wolfe, the Lucifers were to use the Pyrians as footsoldiers against the Magog with a later post stating that they were designed to be the Lightbringers servants in a similar manner as the Magog.
Overview
In appearance, the Lambent Kith were avatars of the various stars in the universe.
The Lambent Kith Nebula were the supreme council of the Avatars of the Sun and governed the galaxies. Its members consisted of fifty Avatars most of which were identical to the appearance of Trance Gemini who herself was the oldest of the group. The Nebula had a dismissive view of organic life and believed it to be insignificant; a stance which was sharply disagreed upon by Trance who left the Nebula long ago.
Celestial Avatars are known as extremely powerful and long lived creatures due to their connection with their celestial bodies and nearly impossible to defeat except by another Avatar. They can recover from wounds, even fatal ones but they will come back to life by the energy of their counterpart re-energizing them until they are resurrected. Avatars also have the ability to fold space and transport themselves and others to other locations just by simply focusing on the location they wish to go. Celestial Avatars is that they can mimic the primary element of their celestial counterpart, such as Trance and Virgil Vox being able to use solar blasts from their hands and throw them against an opponent. These are powerful enough to make Dylan Hunt fly off of his feet and land several feet away from the avatar that fired the shot without any permanent damage, but this may have been because of Dylan's Paradine nature, it is unknown what it would do against normal beings.
The most unique abilities possessed by the Avatars are that they can show their true nature through their eyes and even taking on the form of their counterparts, such has Trance when she became the Core and going supernova to destroy the Andromeda and her crew in order to bring it back to their universe. They can also move through Time, Space and even Dimensions and other universes to guide others or simply to explore. Another is the ability to see multiple possible outcomes of the future.
Avatars usually assume a humanoid form, but are themed by whatever celestial body they represent. The humanoid appearance is most often merely a collection of humanoid features gathered most probably by viewing other species of the galaxy. It provides a better mode of communication by making the avatar relatable or approachable. There is normally a coloring of the construct body which hints at the original being it represents.
Maura served as the head of the Nebula before the revelation of her true allegiances.
- According to Robert Hewitt Wolfe's post, his original name for the species was going to be the Lucifers or Lightbringers with them being a chaotic race who did not cooperate well with one another.
Members
- Trance Gemini :
- Flux : a blue skinned male servant for Fletcher and Duran who seemed harmless and spoke in a polite tone. He urged Trance to not defy their brothers and sisters as well as asked for her to return to them but she refused. (Episode: In Heaven Now Are Three)
- Azazel : a female member of the Nebula who was dispatched to lead the Pyrians as it was deemed by her people that they were more worthy race in fighting the forces of the Abyss. (Episode: Point of the Spear)
- Ione : a male avatar of Tarn-Vedra's moon who was on Seefra-2 after losing his memories, he became aware of his past after kissing Trance Gemini but after releasing he could not be with her - he decided to tesseract out of that plane of existence. (Episode: Moonlight Becomes You)
- Ione's existence seems to be an anomaly as all other known members of the Nebula were avatars of the sun rather than of planets.
Notes
- According to the unproduced episode "Coda" by Robert Hewitt Wolfe, the origins of the Avatars of the Sun was more fully explained with their name being "Lightbringers" or "Lucifers" that pre-dated the Big Bang along with the Spirit of the Abyss. During that time, it was stated that the Lucifers grew bored with existence and thus instigated a war against the Abyss which in turn brought about the Big Bang which created the universe. Since that time, they engaged in a constant cycle of creation and destruction with the Abyss after creating the Engine of Creation to suit their purposes. In the Perfect Possible Future, Trance Gemini would have brought Dylans restored Commonwealth alongside with Tyr Nietzschean Empire, Rev Bem's Wayist church and Harper's Consensus of Parts in a final war against the Abyss with the Lucifers allies the Pyrians.
