Biography
The Mind Flayer was the name given to an entity native to another dimension known as the Upside Down. It resided there for an unknown length of time until its realm was disturbed in November 1983 when scientists at the Hawkins Lab on Earth created an interdimensional tear into this dimension. From this gate, they sought to study this other dimension that was inhabited by a variety of alien organisms.
