Smiley.

Sam "Smiley" Rogers was a henchman of Robert G. Durant. He was the final member of Durant's gang to be killed by Darkman: after Darkman tricked him into killing Rudy Guzman, he set Smiley up to die when he rigged his warehouse laboratory to explode with a drinking-bird, lighter, and flammable gas. Smiley tried to stop the bird from igniting the lighter, but it was just a holographic duplicate of the real bird and lighter, and by the time Smiley realized this it was too late and he was blown up.
