Biography
Android 19 (Japanese: 人造人間１９号, Hepburn: Jinzōningen Jū Kyū-Gō, lit. "Artificial Human No. 19") (? - May 12, 767) was the penultimate creation of Dr. Gero, a completely loyal bodyguard android designed to replace the rebellious Android 17 and Android 18. The android was modeled after a doll decorating the command center of an enemy base, which Dr. Gero brought home as a trophy. When Dr. Gero decided to turn himself into Android 20 in order to become immortal, his brain was transplanted into his android body by Android 19.
After that, 19 and 20 went to fulfill the role in history Trunks had originally stated that 17 and 18 would fill- attacking a city on a small island, 9 miles southwest of South City, to attract the attention of Goku and company. 19 engaged the Super Saiyan personally, and was eventually victorious over him- thanks to a combination of the onset of Goku's heart virus and 19's absorbing one of Goku's Kamehameha attacks. Goku was taken away for treatment, but 19 was challenged by Vegeta, now a Super Saiyan himself. He tried to defeat Vegeta by draining his energy, but Vegeta ripped 19's hands off and used his new Big Bang Attack to demolish him once and for all.

Personality and attributes
In appearance, Android 19 resembled short, rotund, pale-faced male individual who was dressed in vaguely Chinese clothing.
By far, he was shown as being Dr. Gero's most loyal and obedient creation. He was committed to Dr. Gero's quest for revenge against Goku and was very eager to face Goku himself.
Despite being a machine, he is shown to possess the ability to feel fear and even cowardly attempts to flee out of fear of Super Saiyan Vegeta.
Powers and abilities
Android 19 was an artificial being created by Dr. Gero and was entirely mechanical in nature. He was designed to possess superhuman strength, speed, endurance that matched those of skilled warriors capable of manipulating their ki. In addition, he could naturally fly and project energy from his body.
He was equipped with energy absorption devices in his palms, enabling him to drain off the life energy of warriors or that of their attacks.
Notes
- Android 19 was created by Akira Toriyama where he featured in the setting of the Dragon Ball universe.
- He seemingly never existed in the future timeline of Trunks- he was only constructed in the timelines created when Trunks arrived in the past.
Alternate Versions
- In Dragon Ball GT, Android 19 appeared in the 19 later returned in the alternate reality setting. He escaped Hell (HFIL) was opened thanks to the machinations of Dr. Gero and Dr. Myuu, but was defeated again.
