History

The Bio-Ships were seemingly living starships that were used by the Green Martian civilization. One such craft was given to Miss Martian which she brought to Earth in the early 21st century when she joined her uncle the Martian Manhunter. The ship was based at Mount Justice where she introduced it to the Team of other young superheroes that were working with the Justice League. The Team later went on the ship whilst touring Happy Harbor when they were attacked by Mister Twister and the Bio-Ship was used as a shield against his attacks.

Overview

In terms of appearance, the ships rest mode resembled a giant red black egg. A telepathic command was able to waken the ship whereupon it morphed its skin to take a more aerodynamic shape. Once done, it was able to adopt as a form of transportation with the capacity to go into space, withstand the friction of a rapid descent, survive shockwaves from nuclear explosions and move deep underwater. The skin of these organic craft was able to adopt a camouflage mode where it turned nearly invisible. Furthermore, it seemingly shared some of the shapeshifting abilities of its creators as it was able to morph between various modes, create seats in the cockpit when needed and open doorways in the outer hull as well as create clamps needed that could grab onto large aircraft. In addition to these traits, the Bio-Ship had the ability to fire an energy beam from its nose.

Control of the ship was achieved in the cockpit where pilots telepathically maneuvered the craft and its actions were able to be dictated remotely from a distance. The Bio-Ship was equably able to shift to a manual flight mode that allowed others beyond the Green Martian pilot to operate it. Whilst able to survive damage, these ships were not invulnerable to harm and communicated their pain to their pilots such as when the hull was damaged. Furthermore, they were able to suffer from extreme cases of vertigo that was capable of causing them to crash. In extreme cases, the mind of these vessels were able to enter into a state of shock which required them to heal after a short time.
