Buz Kingsley was a field reporter who was sent by Irene Appel to cover the mysterious incidents of people vanishes leaving only empty clothes and puddles of his water. He and his cameraman, Dave Romaine, got a firsthand encounter with the clone when they saw it absorb a man at an apartment building they went to. Later, it was Buz's news chopper that picked Mark Kenniston and Harry Schwartz up from the hospital and flew them to the women's prison to rescue Edie Hempstead.
