History
Code: Blue
Having been trained to combat superhuman menaces-- although still lacking in full training-- Code: Blue was mobilized for their first mission when the Wrecking Crew took a hostage. Led by Lt. Marc Stone, captained by Shelley Conklin, and staffed by "Mother" Majowski, "Jock" Jackson, "Fireworks" Fielstein, "Mad-Dog" Rassitano, and "Rigger" Ruiz, Code: Blue found themselves overpowered against the Wrecking Crew, but they were able to save the hostage from them, and thus scored their first victory. (Thor v1 #426) Code: Blue engaged in a training session, with Majowski firing paint-balls at Rassitano, Rigger, Jackson and Fielstein. Stone then had them take another session-- with live ammo. Later, they set out the site of a battle between Excalibur, Thor and the Wrecking Crew. (Thor v1 #427) Code: Blue intervened during the three-way battle between Excalibur, Thor, and the Wrecking Crew. Excalibur fought Code: Blue, believing them to be aiding the Juggernaut, whom Thor had been disguised as by the Enchantress. Ultimately, Thor defeated Bulldozer, who Code: Blue took into custody, and Excalibur realized their error. (Thor v1 #428) Rassitano and Ruiz were assigned to transport Bulldozer to Kennedy Airport so that he could transferred to The Vault. Along the way, they drove through Cypress Cemetary and were attacked by the rest of the Wrecking Crew, but were saved from them by Ghost Rider. (Thor v1 #429)
Code: Blue attempted to apprehend the Beetle and Leila Davis after they attempted to break Boomerang out of the Tombs prison, but they escaped. (Deadly Foes of Spider-Man v1 #2) Code: Blue stormed Loki's tower as Thor confronted him to rescue Kevin Masterson from captivity. Loki sensed their arrival and unleashed living statues, but they fought their way past the creatures, and were able to rescue Kevin from Loki. After Thor slew Loki, Lt. Stone encouraged him to seek judgement for what he had done. (Thor v1 #432) As Code: Blue faced Ulik in battle, they were joined by the new Thor, Eric Masterson. Thor attempted to assist them, but his inexperience resulted in Ulik escaping Code: Blue, and the entire squad could tell they were dealing with a new Thor. After gaining his bearings, Thor was able to assist Code: Blue in defeating Ulik. (Thor v1 #433)
The Absorbing Man was in custody where he was placed in stasis at a Code Blue NYPD facility where the Mayor asked them to hand him over to the Avengers. This saw the young recruits at the Avengers Academy handling transport with this being overseen by Justice.
