Ed Buckley
Ed Buckley was an American security guard at the Phoenix Project facility. He was the third "survivor" encountered by Paul Latham's group during their time there, following Dr. Gordon Shelley and Dr. Carol Soames. It turned out, however, that like Shelley and Soames, Buckley was in reality Charlie, just with the guard's consciousness having temporarily wrested control of the shark's shapeshifting body from it. Buckley's will proven unable to maintain control, and Charlie retook control of the body, transforming from the Buckley-form to its original mutant shark form. When Paul and Linda Warner killed Charlie's first body, the one Buckley's mind was trapped in along with the other Phoenix personnel, Buckley's mind was freed and he allowed to die.
