Biography

Emrys Killebrew

Whilst working for Department K, he was assigned to the Special Weapons Development Branch at the Weapon X facility that was informally called the Hero Factory. Once there, Killebrew had his own laboratory called the Workshop that was funded by Department H and Department K with the purpose of creating superheroes. Those that failed were seen as rejects and given to Killebrew for his use where he performed a number of secret experiments on them. Aiding him at the Hospice facility was Francis Fanny who went under the name of the Attending. One day, a subject that fell under his care was Wade Wilson who was suffering from terminal cancer and had volunteered for experimental treatment. Dr. Killebew, however, decided to use him as a means of transplanting a Mutant healing factor to another test subject. (Deadpool and Death Annual v1 1998) He had promised Wilson that his regenerative powers would last forever. (Deadpool: Sins of the Past v1 #4)
