  • In X-Men: Evolution, the Eye of Ages made an appearance in the last season of the cartoon series. It would appear as a circular blue machine far larger then a Human and which was capable of opening up revealing a coffin shaped chamber within. It was a time machine used by the traveller known as Rama-Tut who came to Egypt and ruled as Pharoah. Using the technology of the Eye, he secured dominance until his rule provoked the first mutant known as Apocalypse who defeated the Pharoah's armies but not before the traveller escaped into the timestream leaving behind the Eye. Apocalypse would make use of the Eye to further his plans and attempted to forcibly take over the planet. However, his plans frightened his followers which resulted in them imprisoning him within the Eye where it was placed beneath multiple barriers in the Himalayas. Despite his imprisonment, Apocalpyse was able to send out a psionic link centuries later to the mutant Mesmero and instructed him to free Apocalypse. This succeeded and Apocalypse began his plans to reshape the planet and used the technology of the Eye to transform himself into a cybernetic being. He further attempted to use the technology within the device to forcibly transform all Humans on Earth into Mutants in order to reshape the world into his own image. He was thwarted by the combined efforts of the X-Men and the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants along with S.H.I.E.L.D. support. Rogue and Wolverine would trap him within the Eye and damage it causing it to disappear into the timestream.
