Goro Ibuki
Professor Goro Ibuki was a scientist living in the later years of the waning attacks upon Japan by various giant monsters. He was left to raise his little brother Rokuro on his own, presumably due to their parents' death, assisted ably by his friend Hiroshi Jinkawa. Goro is most noted however for having invented the robot Jet-Jaguar, who he intended to act as a guardian for mankind.
Jet-Jaguar wound up performing better than Goro had ever anticipated as despite being controlled by Seatopian agents, once Goro broke the Seatopians' control over him, Jet-Jaguar gained sentience and went and summoned Godzilla to deal with the Seatopians' god, Megalon. At one point Goro and his brother were captured by the Seatopians and ordered brought to Emperor Antonio, but they were rescued by Hiroshi. After Godzilla and a giant Jet-Jaguar defeated both Megalon and Gigan, Jet-Jaguar returned to his normal size and they all went home together.
