Biography
H.E.R.B.I.E. (Humanoid Experimental Robot B-type Integrated Electronics) was a robot that was constructed by Reed Richards where he needed access to a computer when out in the field. In addition, Richards had created it when a cartoon was being made on the Fantastic Four but Johnny Storm was not available for it as he was out of town. (Fantastic Four v1 #209) Reed Richards had originally deigned H.E.R.B.I.E. as a beacon in order to find Galactus. (Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur v1 #28) Whilst on Xandar, Richards came to complete H.E.R.B.I.E. where he used the Xandarian living mind computers to assist him in creating the robot. A H.E.R.B.I.E. was sent by Parker Industries to serve as a teacher for the new Inhuman Kei Kawade. (Monsters Unleashed v3 #1)
