Biography

Kahless (Klingonese: qeyliS) was a male Klingon born many centuries ago on the homeworld of Qo'noS.

At the Three Turn Bridge, Kahless was said to had single-handedly fought off an entire army. (DS9: Let He Who Is Without Sin...)

Kahless and Lukara were nearly killed by Molor's troops moments after they were married. (DS9: You Are Cordially Invited...)

In 2269, the extraterrestrial Excalbians looked to better understand the concepts of 'good' and 'evil' leading to a recreation of Kahless being made alongside the Vulcan Surak and the Human Colonel Green. (TOS: The Savage Curtain)

In 2369, the Clerics of Boreth looked to recreate the legendary ruler of the Kingon Empire. They used preserved DNA samples in order to create a clone of Kahless. His presence came to be a threat to Chancellor Gowron and could have seen a civil war erupt in the empire. It was only the intervention of Worf was bloodshed avoided where Kahless was made the ceremonial leader of the Klingon Empire with actual political power being in the hands of Gowron. Powers and abilities

He wielded the first bat'leth forged which became known as the Sword of Kahless. It was later covered in a cloth known as the Shroud of the Sword. (DS9: The Sword of Kahless)
