Kalibak (DC Animated)
Kalibak was the son of Darkseid. He frequently sought to prove himself in his father's eyes, but never seemed to really succeed. Kalibak was titanically strong. He was eager to battle Superman at every opportunity, hoping it would make his father proud, but never succeeded. At one point, Kalibak joined Metallo, Toyman, Weather Wizard and Livewire in an allied attempt to destroy Superman, only be defeated by the Justice League.
After Darkseid's disappearance following Brainiac's attack, Kalibak, as Darkseid's heir, became a prize fought over by Granny Goodness and Virman Vundabar- each hoped to have him legitimize their claim of rulership over Apokolips. Kalibak was captured by Vundabar, but was rescued by Mister Miracle, Barda and the Flash, who then took him to Earth and imprisoned him.
