Biography
Leona Heidern (Japanese: レオナ・ハイデルン, Hepburn: Reona Haiderun) was a blue haired female human who was the daughter of Gaidel (ガイデル, Gaideru) and an unnamed woman in an unknown village. Her father had been a member of the Hakkesshu that were servants of Orochi with Gaidel being the avatar of water but he ran away from his destiny in order to build a life for himself. It was then that he me a woman and together they had a child with this being Leona. When she was young, their village was visited by Goenitz to force Gaidel to re-join their ranks but her father refused. Goenitz seemingly left but returned at night where he awakened the Riot of the Blood within the young Leona causing her to go on a rampage where she killed her own family as well as everyone in the village. Pleased at the outcome, Goenitz decided to put her rage into a slumber until he had use for her again and departed leaving Leona with no memory of the massacre. She then wandered from her village and was alone until she was found by Heidern who came to adopt her as his daughter. Under his care, he came to be surprised at her fighting talent leading to him raising her to be an Ikari warrior under his command. This saw her becoming the newest member of the Ikari Team alongside her superiors Clark Still and Ralf Jones.
In 1996, she received her first official mission to enter the King of Fighters tournament alongside Ralf and Clark. Their mission was to investigate the crime lord Geese Howard who had joined the tournament in search of some unknown goal.
Overview
Personality and attributes
In appearance, Leona was a beautiful young woman with light blue hair that she wore up in a ponytail and had blue eyes. She typically wore an army green military jacket that was cut short exposing her midriff. She also wears matching shorts held by a belt, knee pads, socks, and army boots to go with her outfit. When she goes berserk due to her Orochi blood, Leona's hair turned red and her eyes showed no pupils or irises whilst her skin turned pale due to lack of blood. Her family name was taken from her adoptive father Heidern after he took care of her. Her official nickname was the Silent Soldier (サイレント ソルジャー). When the Riot of the Blood was activated, she came to be known as Orochi Leona (暴走ぼうそうレオナ, Bousou Reona, lit. Rampaging Leona).
She became deeply disturbed at discovering her Orochi heritage that affected her during the King of Fighters tournament. After being overwhelmed by the Orochi blood, she went out of control until she was stopped and brought back to normal. However, she felt ashamed at her actions and she nearly took her own life as a result but was stopped by her fellow Ikari teammates.
Powers and abilities
Her father was one of the Hakkesshu that were servants of Orochi and of his bloodline.
This meant that she had inherited the Riot of the Blood (血の暴走, Chi no Bōsō, lit. Rampage of Blood) that when activated left her in a berserker like state where she was affected both physically and psychologically.
Some of her moves were inherited from her father Heidern whereby she used her hands as blades for techniques.

Notes
- Leona Heidern was created by SNK where she featured in the setting of The King of Fighters universe.
- Two of her moves were references to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure namely Earring Bomb 2: Heart Attack that was similar to Yoshikage Kira's Stand power whilst her Grateful Dead (Super) Desperation Move was a reference to Prosciutto's Stand.
