After the Joker War, Dr. Thompkins was requested to attend court in order to provide expert opinion on the criminal Punchline. The young woman who was Alexis Kaye had aided the Joker during the war with Leslie giving evidence on her mental state. Thompkins noted that Kaye suffered from some undiagnosed mental issues but that she was fit to stand trial for her actions that could potentially lead to her facing capital punishment. For the appearance, she asked Harper Row to accompany her and expressed her worries about the coming trial. She later asked Harper to watch from the rooftops in her vigilante guise as Bluebird as her fears over Punchline's growing popularity by members of the public. On the day of the trial, Leslie received a call from Alexis Kaye who wanted to thank her for making her mentally fit for trial as it allowed Punchline to enact her plan in getting the publics support. This allowed for her followers to eliminate the witnesses that were going to testify against her during the trial. (Punchline v1 #1)

During this time, her clinic was visited by the new masked vigilante called the Clownhunter who was injured. He had been given a card with Thompkin's clinic and urged him to speak to her. Whilst treating him, she learnt about his past and how his parents were killed by the Joker. At first, he had hoped Batman would bring the Clown Prince of Crime to justice but when the Joker War came he saw that the Dark Knight never stopped the Joker and this led to him adopting the name Clownhunter. Thompkins urged him to return to his normal life to be happy though Bao was conflicted as he felt responsible to bring the criminal clowns to justice with this keeping the people of the Narrows safe from harm. (Batman Annual v3 #5)

Afterwards, Dr. Thompkins was looking for evidence that could be used to prove Alexis Kaye's guilt during the Joker War.
