(Daredevil v1 #198)

Years ago, he refined the science that allowed for the bonding of Adamantium to a human skeletal system. During this time, his research facility in the Tokyo Bay was attacked by Mystique, Blindspot, Rogue and Sunfire. This was part of a secret initiative by Tomo Yoshida who wanted to steal the secrets of Adamantium in order to create an army of invincible warriors for use by Japan against its enemies. However, Lord Dark Wind's followers kept the intruders at bay long enough for him to escape with the hard drives that contained his research. (Rogue v3 #10)

The body of Lord Dark Wind was resurrected as an undead warrior by Soteira where he was assigned to Killteam Nine. Alongside the other resurrected, they were dispatched to a power station established by the company that was creating a zombie outbreak. This attracted the attention of Sabretooth, Daken and Lady Deathstrike who had mistakenly believed that this was the resurrected Wolverine. In the fight with the killteam, Yuriko was shocked to find that her attacker was her father.
