Mayor Edsel

Mayor Edsel is the mayor of Detroit. He never speaks, however he has a female assistant who does all of his talking for him. Although he welcomed the Autobots after they saved the city from a giant metal-absorbing monster accidentally spawned by Sumdac Systems, and also saved him, Captain Fanzone and Sari Sumdac from Starscream, the destruction caused by their ongoing war with the Decepticons and other villains has made Edsel begin looking for an alternative means of defending his city.

He and Captain Fanzone originally made a deal with Prometheus Black to create super-soldiers to be police officers, not knowing that Black was secretly being funded by Porter C. Powell, but the deal fell through after Black's first test subject, Colossus Rhodes, went insane. He has since turned to Sumdac Systems and its security droids.
