Mirabai is a female comic supervillain who features in DC Comics.

Biography

Mirabai the Forlorn was a powerful sorceress and tyrant. (Action Comics v1 #882) She was shown as being an inhabitant of Sorcerers' World that was a hub to all arcane worlds and dimensions. (Action Comics v1 #886)

She agreed to help General Lane in exchange for him helping her achieve her goals. (Superman v1 #691)

As part of her pact with General Lane, she helped him add magic into his arsenal at Project 7734 for use against the people of New Krypton. This included finding the unconscious Captain Atom and brainwashing him into becoming an agent of the black-ops group. Among the people of her own homeworld, Captain Atom came to be known as the Arrow of the Forlorn with him being feared by them which she used against them. (Action Comics v1 #882)

Mirabai demanded respect from others and threatened to remove their tongue if they did not show it to her. (Superman v1 #691)

Powers and abilities

With a gesture, she could cast illusions on others allowing her to hide their true appearance. (Action Comics v1 #880) She was also capable of reading a person's mind or preventing people from speaking which was a potent ability against other spellcasters. (Superman v1 #692) Mirabai was able to place magical inhibitors designed to keep mystical beings powerless. (Superman v1 #693)

She was shown to be capable of teleportation allowing her to transport herself and others to different locations. (Action Comics v1 #879)
