Biography

Origin

Megan Gwynn was a female Earth-born Mutant who was the daughter of Mrs. Gwynn and Mastermind Jason Wyngarde. (X-Men: Pixie Strikes Back v1 #1)

She was raised by her grandparents in a small mining town named Abergylid in Wales where he powers first manifested in a near-miss road accident involving her bicycle and another car causing her to develop rainbow-coloured butterfly wings allowing her to fly. (Free Comic Book Day Vol 2008 X-Men v1 #1)

X-Men

She later came to graduate from the Jean Grey School where she became an official member of the X-Men. (Wolverine and the X-Men v1 #42)

House of X

After Krakoa was declared a sovereign nation, the living island came to be declared a homeland for all Mutants with all being invited to reside on it. Pixie became one of many Mutants that came to relocate to the newly formed country. (House of X v1 #6)

She took part in the Venice Insertion that was headed by Nightcrawler where they uncovered a hidden Orchis operation that maintained a museum which they used to highlight Mutant 'atrocities'. They were also engaged in teaching priests anti-Mutant sentiment with the X-Men looking to recover items related to Mutants. During the mission, Pixie was killed but she underwent her first rebirth as part of the Resurrection Protocols. (Way of X v1 #1)

Her mother was Mrs. Gwynn was a fairy-like humanoid with pointed ears, black eyes and purple hair who was strong enough to easily knock aside a Mutant. (X-Men: Pixie Strikes Back v1 #1)

Megan had said that she did not know what her targets experienced when they were exposed to her Pixie dust. (New X-Men v1 #38)

Notes

  • Pixie was created by Nunzio DeFilippis, Christina Weir and Michael Ryan where she made her first appearance in New X-Men: Academy X v1 #5 (November, 2004).
