Biography
Power Boy was a male inhabitant of the planet Apokolips where he was a New God that grew up in the slums of Armagetto. He was taken in order to serve Darkseid where he underwent training to become a superhero so that he could infiltrate the planet Earth. During this time, Kara Zor-El was brought to Apokolips with Power Boy seeing her and became enamoured by the Kryptonian where he came to consider her his great love. When she was taken back to Earth, he came to be obsessed with Kara as he believed her to be his destiny leading to Power Boy abandoning any of the plans Darkseid had for him. He then departed to search for Supergirl across the universe with him taking a Father Box as he observed her on Earth as he decided the best time to approach her. (Supergirl v5 #15)
When Kara postponed a make-out session to visit a male friend in the hospital, Power Boy beat Supergirl unconscious, dragged her to his place, put her in power-dampening shackles and dumped her on his bed. When she came to, Power Boy revealed that he was from Apokolips, he had been following her around for months, and he looked forward to take care of her because she needed someone to fix her. He was sorry for hitting her, but he argued it was her own fault for not listening to him. Supergirl broke the shackles, beat him to the ground and dumped his house on his head. Power Boy used a Father Box to teleport himself off-world, but Supergirl caught up with him right when Power Boy was mumbling that he was not done with stalking her. Supergirl hit him, declared that she would break every bone in his body if he came near her again, and crushed his Father Box. (Supergirl v5 #15)
Cyborg recruited a new roster of young heroes and contacted his old friends to reform the Titans and train them. Everyone turned him down, but Nightwing told him he appreciated what he was trying to do. They bout had a moment of nostalgia for the Titans, and how they were always equally family and a team. Cyborg assembled the new Hawk and Dove, Power Boy, Lagoon Boy, Anima, Son of Vulcan and Little Barda as the Teen Titans East. Cyborg specifically recruited Power Boy, because he suspected him of being a villain, and wanted to keep an eye on him. Power Boy spent a one-night stand with his teammate Hawk Holly Granger where he was thrilled when she agreed to dress up as Supergirl; for their encounter. He assumed he’d be made leader of the team, and looked forward to the others doing as he told them. Cyborg wanted them to prove themselves as a team so he set up a war game where the rest of the team would try to subdue Power Boy, whose cockiness and unfortunate run-in with Supergirl meant he had yet to earn Cyborg’s trust, despite his immense power. The team functioned decently, if not entirely in synch before Power Boy was charred and impaled on a tree. Laser beams cut down the rest of the team, as Cyborg watched helplessly before he was consumed by a fireball that destroyed most of his body. The former Titans responded, and Raven realized that her father Trigon was trying to kill every last Titan, past or present. (Titans East Special v1 #1)
