History

Titans East were originally a team of superpowered individuals brought together by Deathstroke who was using them to get his revenge against the Teen Titans. (Teen Titans v3 #43)

Later on, Cyborg attempted to reform the Teen Titans but his compatriots refused to do so at that time. This led to Vic Stone deciding to form a new team he called Titans East which consisted of Anima, Hawk, Dove, Lagoon Boy, Little Barda, Power Boy and Son of Vulcan. (Titans East Special v1 #1)

  • Titans East was created by Geoff Johns and Tony S. Daniel where she made her first appearance in Teen Titans v3 #43 (March, 2007).

Alternate Versions

  • In Teen Titans v3 #19 (2005), an alternate future version of Titans East were shown to exist in the timeline of Titans Tomorrow. This reality saw the now adult Teen Titans adopting more ruthless measures following the deaths or injuries to loved ones at the hands of supervillains. In response, several former Titans rebelled against the future Titans' rule over the Western United States with their membership including Batwoman (Bette Kane), Bumblebee (Karen Beecher-Duncan), Captain Marvel (Freddy Freeman), Cyborg 2.0 (Victor Stone), Flash (Bart Allen), Ravager (Rose Wilson) and Terra (Tara Markov).

Television

  • In Teen Titans, the Titans East appeared in the setting of the animated television series. They were a team of heroes that were brought together secretly by Brother Blood who established them as a rival team to the Teen Titans with them operating from their own tower in Engine City.
