Samantha Grimm

Dr. Samantha Grimm is a scientist that appears in the movie Doom and is played by Rosamund Pike.

Background

A scientist in the employ of UAC, Samantha is the sister of John Grimm and is the older siblings by two minutes. She was conducting archaeological research into the Martian civilization in the facility at the Olduvai Research Facility, Mars. After losing contact with the research departments deeper within the facility, she was assigned to a UAC marine squad that was tasked with retrieving Dr. Carmacks data.

After meeting her brother, its shown clearly that the two have drifted apart over the years due to past actions. During the recovery operation, she manages to retrieve samples of C24 and learns the shocking genetic experiments conducted in the facility that led to the creation of 'monsters' that terrorised the base. After returning to the Ark, she and her brother became the only survivors. John Grimm was however badly wounded and, in order to save him, she injected him with the C24 compound which gave him enhanced abilities which included healing.

At the end of the encounter, she and her brother survived after entering the elevator to return to the surface of Earth.
