History
Sanguine Vampiris were a race of vampire Abnormals that once lived on the Earth for centuries. They were an intelligent and powerful race who's rise to dominance made them the tyrannical kings of Humanity and became leaders such as Egyptian Pharaoh's that let their Human people live in slavery.
During the third great kingdom, their armies gathered whilst their enemies came to recruit all manner of Abnormals to their side.
This was until Humanity rose up in rebellion and fought back against the vampires who were forced to flee.
Centuries later, their race came under attack once more by the Church who demonized the species further and waged a campaign of extermination to destroy the vampires. Many vampires died from this and their blood became tainted making them sterile. They retreated from the world and hid in a hidden valley in the Himalayas where they built their last refugee called Bhalasaam where they attempted to restore their race but were eventually wiped out by several armies that used artillery to destroy the region.
Their legacy on the world was, however, not lost and Doctor Helen Magnus managed to procure herself a sample of pure untainted Sanguine Vampiris blood. After being distilled, it was administered to a group of Human scientists called the Five which included; Helen Magnus, John Druitt, Sir James Watson, Nigel Griffin and Nikola Tesla. They were each given great abilities but only Tesla's was the most profound for he turned into a vampire-like creature.
Over a century later, Nikola began to believe that the vampires were a superior race and sought to restore them. Through the use of his blood on deceased bodies and an electrical charge, he discovered he could turn others into vampires. However, these vampires lacked intelligence and were little more then mindless brutes who were subjects to Nikola's will. To that end, he sought to use Helen Magnus in his attempt to giving them intelligence so that the Sanguine Vampiris would be reborn once more.
Overview
In appearance, the Sanguine Vampiris were a race of humanoids that had many features similar to vampires. Despite their form, they were capable of adopting a more monstrous feral visage when they wish where their teeth become sharp, eyes turn black and their finger nails turn to vicious claws. A vampire had incredibly speed allowing them to move quickly and far faster when compared to a Human. Their strength was superior allowing them to easily overpower a Human and they had incredible endurance; able to survive gun shots, being staked through the heart, powerful geomagnetic currents powered by the Earth and even a fist teleported through their stomach. Vampires were capable of interbreeding with humans in the past leading to a dormant gene from them among humans.
Similar to the vampires of legend, it appears that at least the degenerate descendants of Sanguine Vampiris were capable of drinking the blood of Humans.
It was known that they had their own script.
Long ago, they came to call the city of Bhalasaam as the centre of civilization that was located in the Indian Himalayas.
