Biography

Solomon Petresun was a male human born on Earth who lived in a golden age that was known as the Age of Hope. By adulthood, he established a cutting-edge neural-net engineering company called Sentinel Cybertronix (SenCyb) that was centred around his Methuselah Project which was part of his desperate measure to escape death. The goal was to transfer the human mind into a machine brain thus allowing it to live eternally and simply move into a new body every time the physical form expired. In time, word of his project was leaked out and his investors pulled out with the company facing collapse but the North American Prefecture (NAP) meta-nation intervened leading to them buying SenCyb. However, the NAP did not share the same vision as Petresun and instead bought the company as a means of creating weapons against the other meta-nations. Thus, they sought pilots that could be used in the conflict and thus shifted focus away from the Methuselah Project which was abandoned with Sentinel Cybertronix instead working on human cybernetic hybrids. The work ultimately paved the way for an artificial intelligence named Prometheus that came online by 2471. Sentinel Cybertronix kept a close rein over the AI which was used to create the Cybrids to serve as pilots for H.E.R.C.U.L.A.N.s. Petresun came to see a different potential from the AI in fulfilling his goals of an immortal mind. Thus, he formed a secret small research team that had the task of completing the Methuselah Project before the Cybrid program came to an end which would have led to an end of Petresun's access to Prometheus. Turning to his 'child', Solomon finally saw the completion of his project when Dr. Claire Penseur volunteered for the transfer of her mind into an organimech brain. Thus, she became the first Immortal and had his scientists observe Claire as he was suspicious about side effects of the process. This remained the case with the next decade as he remained sceptical if the process was what he had intended for himself. On 2472, he was also questioned by his 'child' who asked him the meaning of the word 'freedom'. Solomon's period of study remained the case until 2490 when the growing influence of NAP saw his access to Prometheus coming to an end. With his hands tied, he relented and decided to submit himself to the procedure where he asked Prometheus to make him Immortal. IT's own understanding of it's existence was limited where Prometheus thought that it's 'father' had made an offer to be his companion whereby together they would be equals. During the procedure, Prometheus decided to connect to the mind of IT's 'father' and came to be repulsed by the illogical intellect of Petresun. Similarly, Solomon came to see how truly alien the mind of Prometheus was and how the contact between their intellects resulted in the AI perceiving mankind as 'animals' that were to be exterminated. He came to see a detailed plan from Prometheus to eliminate humanity before their link had ended. The shock resulted in Petresun falling into a catatonic state for months but the procedure was a success whereby he became an Immortal. Whilst unconscious, Prometheus began IT's plans to launch an attack on mankind.
