History

One of the most dangerous factions within the conflict was led by a male alien called Vosk. His people were nearly caught by Temporal Agents until Vosk managed to develop a form of stealth time travel technology that allowed him to manage to elude his pursuers. However, the technology only allowed for one directional travel with Vosk along with his followers being sent into Earth's past where they emerged in the midst of World War II. This point in the timeline had been greatly impacted as an agent from an unknown faction assassinated Lennin. As a result, humanity's history was greatly altered to the point that Nazi Germany managed to focus solely on the defeat of the West. Vosk and his kind allied themselves with the Germans were they provided their expertise in exchange for vital equipment. Though claiming an oath to the Fuhrer, Vosk simply used the Nazi's as a means to an end as he was relegated to using that century's more primitive technology in order to build a conduit for a return to the future.

The Temporal Cold War was a conflict that developed as a result of the development of time travel technology. Not long afterwards, laws were introduced in order to better regulate its usage with all species agreeing to use it only for research purposes. These became the basis of the Temporal Accord with researchers following the guidelines set forward by it. Despite this being the case, certain groups from across the timeline began to act secretly in violation of the law leading to them meddling with history. (ENT: Cold Front)

It was believed that the 22nd century became a front in the cold war that would have ramifications in the millennia afterwards. (ENT: Cold Front)

One faction used a device to communicate to people in the 22nd century where they made contact with the Suliban. Using knowledge from the future, he came to secure several members of the species allegiance where they formed the Cabal. This group was provided knowledge and genetic enhancements to improve themselves in the era where in exchange they conducted assignments for their benefactor. This was in order to influence the past and shape the future according to their benefactors vision. By 2151, the Suliban were tasked with conducting a number of raids in Klingon space and ensure that it appeared to be the result of a rival faction within the Klingon Empire. This was part of an attempt to trigger a civil war within their empire but former Cabal agent Sarin came to reveal the truth to a Klingon courier named Klaang who was set to travel to Qo'noS to show the data contained within his bloody to the Klingon High Council. However, Cabal agents pursued him and forced him to crash on Earth where he was injured by a human former leading to first contact with the species. Captain Jonathan Archer then offered to take the newly built NX Enterprise on a mission to deliver the courier to his homeworld as part of Earth's first mission of exploration of deep space. This brought them unwittingly involved into the Temporal Cold War when Suliban Cabal agents under the command of Silik sought to capture Klaang once more and eliminate him. Despite their efforts, the Cabal was thwarted by the intervention of the Earth ship that successfully brought Klaang to Qo'noS and averted further conflict from within the Klingon Empire. In the aftermath of the Temporal Wars, time travel came to be banned due to the dangers posed by it thus ending the use of the technology by 3199. (DIS: That Hope Is You, Part 1)
