The Last Sea

The Last Sea (once known as "Marnita") may well be the largest open body of water remaining on Athas. During the Green Age a group of powerful psionicists known as the Mind Lords predicted the coming Cleansing Wars and created powers of unimaginable power to shield their valley from the destruction.

The Last Sea is surrounded by tough, salty grass that is worthless for grazing, but makes excellent rope. Further out, there is a fertile region that provides an abundance of food, and may well not have changed significantly since the Green Age. On the shores of The Last Sea is the city of Sarangar, home of the Mind Lords.

The Last Sea houses creatures not known anywhere else on the planet, including a population of telepathic dolphins known to be the last of their species.
