Biography

Thori was a hound who was the offspring of the demonic wolf Garm and the Hel-Wolf. The latter had been used by Loki as a distraction to attack Garm whilst he snuck into Hel. During their battle, the two fought but eventually came to mate with one another. Thus was born a litter of hel-hounds though Garm had no interest in raising a litter and the Hel-Wolf had been killed. As a result, he decided to send the litter to Loki to deal with and left in his care. Loki brought the matter to the All-Mother who were displeased at the consequences of one of his actions. They then commanded that the seven hell-hounds be given new homes and that Loki was to perform this deed. Six were given hopes elsewhere where one was given to Mephisto, one to Gaea, one to the New Mutants, one to Heimdall, one to Tyr and one became a celebrity pet on Midgard. This left one hound left though he was unable to find a home for him and his violent nature led to many considering him to be bad by nature. However, Loki wanted to defy this and instead decided to adopt the hound for himself who he named Thori. At first, the hell-hound was kept in a cave that was also the home to Leah.
