Tiger Tanaka

"Tiger" Tanaka was the head of the Japanese Secret Service, and his identity was one of Japan's most closely guarded secrets. He only permitted close friends to call him by his nickname. When James Bond came to Japan to investigate it as a possible landing site for an intruder rocket which had stolen a NASA shuttle (and later a Soviet one), Tanaka proved instrumental in assisting Bond discover that SPECTRE, being financed by Red China, was behind the disappearances, as part of a plan to start a war with Russia and the United States. Subsequently, Tanaka's army of highly-trained ninjas stormed the volcano lair of SPECTRE chief Ernst Stavro Blofeld, helping to stop the evil organization.
