Transwarp Conduits

Transwarp conduits are sort-of holes in the fabric of space-time allowing for extremely rapid transit between two distant points. Unlike wormholes, transwarp conduits can only be opened by a unique energy pulse, and never have detrimental effects like a wormhole can. The Borg make extensive use of transwarp conduits.
