Evangelions were large mecha that featured in Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Overview
Not much is actually known about the Evangelions. At first, they appear to be large organic robots that need human pilots to operate them, and only have five minutes of reserve power, unless supplied by power cords. Later, it becomes apparent that the EVAs are not man-made, but contained by man.
Each Evangelion possesses a human soul at its core, and can operate without any power. All EVAs are very powerful and make use of AT fields, and are the only things capable of harming Angels.
Evangelion 01 goes berserk on multiple occasions and operates without power. Evangelion 05 has feathered wings and permanent self regeneration capabilities.
