History
The Aurora Project was a genetic engineering initiative that was created by the House of Chthon family of vampires and was headed by Marcus Van Sciver. Its purpose was the study of the vampire genome in order to create a vaccine to remove their natural weaknesses. Numerous vampires were taken and subjected to the vaccine from the project but the majority of these were a failure. During Blade's attack at their operation, the vampire Fitz volunteered to have Aurora tested on him despite Marcus's apprehensions.
