He later looked to expanding his domain into the lucrative market in New York City. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #419) El Uno was dispatched to New York to bring about his foothold in the area but he was defeated by Spider-Man. However, he escaped from the hospital where he ended up in a fight with Delilah which he lost with him being killed and his head sent back to the Black Tarantula as a warning from the Rose.
