He came to lead a team of Nazi supervillains known as the Fourth Reich who began targeting the families of Golden Age superheroes leading to them attacking a gathering of Commander Steel's relatives. (Justice Society of America v3 #3) After succeeding in their task, they split up to target more families with Captain Nazi along with a few of his comrades targeting the former Stripsey Pat Dugan but were stopped by the Justice Society. During this time, he fought against Damage where he managed to take off Grant Emerson's mask when he got distracted after he accidently injured a team mate. This revealed that Emerson's face was badly deformed with Captain Nazi looking at him scornfully and ready to attack only to be knocked out by Hourman along with his wife Jesse Quick.
