- Casey Jones was created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird where he made his first appearance in Raphael: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle v1 #1 (April, 1985).
- On Screen Junkies, Eastman commented on the characters creation, "I had this idea; it was kind of a parody of all these vigilante characters that were in comics.
