History
The Seven Shadows were a team of mystery men vigilantes that operated in the 1940's in the Chicago area. This was until the transformed Johnny Sorrow attacked them where he killed most of their members except for the Scarab who barely managed to escape with his life. He placed their corpses in a theatre as he then targeted Sandy Hawkins and intended to kill him at the scene. However, the Scarab who managed to escape from Johnny Sorrow managed to bring the Justice Society of America to the scene to help fight off the supervillain. (JSA v1 #18)
