History

The Technis cluster were a techno-organic race of electro-mechanical sentient computer minds who formed a cyber collective that sought to explore, catalogue and collect knowledge throughout the galaxy. At some point in their history, the race began a slow racial decline through the introduction of a virus within their system and lacked a homeworld. They would begin a search through known space to find a soul that would help restore their vitality and bring about their return. One of their agents named Zavior was sent on one such task to find a worthy host for the race and it journeyed to the planet Earth where it observed its inhabitants. This computer mind would go rogue and attempt to forcibly digitize the entire world to help restore the Technis race by transforming the planet into a techno-organic entity like itself. Zavior would be defeated by the Teen Titans and the other Technis but not before sapping the Titan known as Cyborg's energy leaving him near death.

In gratitude for stopping the renegade member of their kind, and sensing the possibility of finding a worthy Human host, the Technis offered to save Vic Stone by merging him with their form. He would be restored to life but it was linked to that of the Technis which meant that he would not be able to return to Earth or his comrades. Sensing a chance to restore the Technis and be with beings like himself, Vic Stone left Earth with the Technis to explore the galaxy. Vic Stone's assimilation into the Technis would result in the creation of a new entity known as Cyberion who possessed the memories of Vic Stone but lacked his emotions and was a seven foot tall techno-organic being. The two would embark on a mission to restore the Technis race and explored the galaxy where they encountered new worlds and new civilizations. Using the newly gifted Omegadrome, Cyberion would use whatever debris it encountered to help in the creation of the new Technis world. On their journey, they would encounter a distress signal from the Titan Starfire who was embroiled within the New Citadel War with the Gordanians that battled her people. The destruction of Tamaran would result in the majority of the Technis being slain. Cyberion would aid his 'former' friend and brought her to Earth where he met with the new members of the Teen Titans.

After heading towards Earth, the Technis imperative for the restoration of their civilization activated and Cyberion's program was adjusted to take this into account. In order to create a new homeworld for the Technis, Cyberion decided to transform Earth's moon into their new planet where the Technis collective family would be restored. However, the Human memories of Vic Stone interfered with his programming and believed that the Titans were this family rather then the Technis race itself. This confusion would mean that Cyberion would send drones to capture any member of the Teen Titans where they would be plugged into a virtual world where their dreams would be fulfilled. As this occured, Cyberion's new planet sized body approached to envelop he Earth's moon and was beginning the process of its transformation.

Vic Stone's friends, those that made up the Teen Titans that he had joined, worked hard to find his soul within the Technis collective and succeeded in awakening him. This brought about the recreation of Vic Stone's Human cybernetic body and ended the threat the Technis posed to the world.
