Biography
Laxus Dreyar (Japanese: ラクサス・ドレアー, Hepburn: Rakusasu Doreā) was a male human born in the Earth Lands where he was the son of Ivan Dreyar. As a result of his parentage, he was the son of Makarov Dreyar who was the head of the Fairy Tail magic guild. At some point, his father Ivan Dreyar came to implant Dragon Lacrima into Laxus' body thus granting him Lightning Dragon Slayer Magic.

In appearance, Laxus Dreyar was a tall well-built male human with blonde hair and a lightning shaped scar by his right eye.
In his youth, Laxus was shown to had been an extremely kind person who was very attached to his grandfather Makarov and greatly admired Fairy Tail. This changed though following his father's excommunication from the guild whereupon he began to have doubts and suspicion that he was only respected because he was the grandson of the guild master. As a result, Laxus became determined to prove himself to be a strong mage on his own terms.
Over time, this led to him portraying himself as an arrogant, overbearing, selfish person who was prone to making fun of his own comrades. He believed himself to be the strongest member of Fairy Tail where he looked down on those he considered weak and heavily reprimanding their weakness with him resolving to hurt them whenever they stepped in his path.
