History
The Exiles were a team of superpowered beings brought together from different parts of the Multiverse. Their origins were traced to the Timebreakers who upon discovering the Panoptichron came to inadvertently destabilize the Omniverse and threaten all of existence. By nature, the Timebreakers were pacifists who could not directly intervene and instead sought champions who would correct the changes to the various realities. In their search, they came to find Mutants to be highly versatile and thus began to recruit X-Men from the different realities. (Exiles v1 #63)
