After returning from Vietnam, Krull drifted from job to job until he was lured into working for the criminal group known as the Council. Its’ scientists studied his odd physiology, discovering that his body was giving off radioactive energy. They enhanced this ability and provided him with a suit to control his power. He performed many jobs from his employers as Reactron until he ran afoul of Power Girl and the Doom Patrol.
