Sebastian Faust

Faust could never have predicted though the loss of the Enchantress's soul caused June Moon to fall into a stupor-like state and being in a bit of a daze. (JLA: Black Baptism v1 #2)

He discovered his father going on a rampage with Sebastian battling him and defeating Felix. It was then that he noticed that his father had no recollection on why he ran amok. Thus, Sebastian came to notice strange mystical disturbances around the world and later answered a call for aid for Green Lantern Alan Scott after he went unconscious. He approached the Justice Society in providing his aid and came to learn that the reason for the random magical chaos was due to the Starheart seeking to free itself. (Justice League of America v2 #45)

Post-Flashpoint

Following the Flashpoint, a new version of reality was created with a different history of events.

His father Felix Faust was noted to had sold his son's soul before he was even born. By adulthood, he came to work for A.R.G.U.S. and served as their top warlock operator where he ran Project: Black Room that catalogued as well as collected all magical relics for the U.S. Government. Among the biggest threats posed at the time was Cerberus that were a mystical terror group. Sebastian Faust took over the organization and defected from A.R.G.U.S. where he stole artifacts from the Black Room for himself. (Suicide Squad: Black Files v1 #1)

Notes

  • Sebastian Faust was created by Mike W. Barr and Paul Pelletier where he made his first appearance in Outsiders v2 #1: Alpha (November, 1993).

Alternate Versions

  • In Mystik U v1 (2017), during a battle against the force known as the Malevolence the mystical heroes of Earth lost but cast a spell to create an alternate world. On this world, there existed Mystik University headed by Miss. Psychic and was a place to train those in the magical arts. Sebastian Faust was the son of Felix Faust with him being a student at the magical school.
