Lion El'Jonson was one of the genetically engineered [[Primarchs (Warhammer 40,000)|Primarchs]] created by the [[Emperor of Mankind]]. The Primarchs came to be separated from their creator and scattered across the galaxy. Jonson's capsule landed in a remote area of Caliban, far from any human habitation. There are no records of how he survived or what he encountered in the jungle during his early years and any normal man would have died within minutes of being exposed to the planet. Yet live he did for a decade in the jungle, alone and with no one to aid him. It would not be till the end of this decade that he would encounter his first humans. On that day Jonson was found by a group of warrior knights of The Order during one of their quests across the planet. The young Primarch was already larger than a normal man, wounded by a Bolt Weapon fired from one of the knights and covered in the blood of one of the Great Beasts. While the knights prepared to kill Jonson, one of their number, a man named Luther, sensed something not immediately apparent about this seemingly wild man and prevented his fellow knights from attacking. Despite the Primarch's near-feral state, Luther was able to slowly convince the savage man to come with him. Taking him out of the forest Luther and the band then brought Jonson back to their Fortress Monastery and there Luther named him 'Lion El'Jonson' which means The Lion, the Son of the Forest both in honor of the circumstances they found him in and in honor of his fierceness which reminded Luther of the most feared of the Great Beasts, the Calibanite Lion. Lion El'Jonson quickly grew up under the care of Luther and adapted to the customs of the planet's inhabitants, learning to speak at an extremely rapid speed, though he never would speak of his first ten years of life. Luther and Jonson formed a strong friendship that complimented each other's abilities and skills. It was now that Jonson's primary skills were discovered. The war was long and bloody, with hundreds slain for each monstrous nest put to the torch, and many grew weary of the slaughter -- all save the grim knight, El'Jonson. The Lion knew that mercy had no place in war, to leave with their task unfinished and with any of the foe yet alive would be to waste all of the lives spent in its pursuit. There could be only one end and that was the total annihilation of the enemy by whatever means was needed. El'Jonson set the knights to ambush the Great Beasts as they came to feed, poisoned the pools at which the creatures drank and set ablaze vast tracts of the forest to set them to flight. He gave the foe no respite and hunted them till no more could be found, and when his warriors spoke of his prowess and victories, it was fear that coloured their words as much as awe. Some of Caliban's aristocracy, following in the wake of the Knights of Lupus, feared his new methods and determination enough to declare open rebellion, some fearing the changes he had wrought upon the tradition-bound people of Caliban and others simply seeking to claim the power Lion El'Jonson had come to wield. These traitors to the cause of Caliban's salvation were put down without mercy, the ranks of their knights and soldiers culled in their entirety and their fastnesses torn down as a warning to others. At the end of the crusade against the Great Beasts, with both the Lion and Luther exhausted by the terrible cost the fighting had exacted, it was El'Jonson that received the battle honours and the title of Grand Master of The Order. He accepted the accolade without fanfare, for such Human eccentricities still seemed less worthwhile to the youth that had grown to manhood among monsters. He understood little the value some placed upon titles and rewards, for his grim and solitary habits had always kept him distant from others, and he saw not the change his rise had wrought in Luther.

Biography

The First.

Lion El'Jonson was one of the genetically engineered Primarchs created by the Emperor of Mankind. Luther and Jonson formed a strong friendship that complimented each other's abilities and skills. It was now that Jonson's primary skills were discovered. He was a brilliant strategist and unstoppable once he decided on a course of action. Together, the two warriors rose through the ranks of the Order and spread the name of the Order through the quests they undertook together.

The war was long and bloody, with hundreds slain for each monstrous nest put to the torch, and many grew weary of the slaughter -- all save the grim knight, El'Jonson.
