History

Origin

Heidecker colleagues was a noted supplier of high tech equipment from keltrex prosthetics, kill-chips, polymer masks and pharmaceuticals. He himself would make a number of follow-up visits in order to see the effectiveness of the technology as Division was using as a ground for advanced field testing with any clinical data recorded. This group did not care for money but rather the results of their experiments. (Episode: Brave New World)

Under New Management

The new Division lost much of its government funding under the new administration. (Episode: Brave New World)

Amanda later returned when she assembled forces to take back the Cryptograph and sought to capture Owen. This saw him removed from a Russian prison but he managed to escape and go on the run where he sought the help of Nikita. Whilst distrustful of the new Division, he agreed to help Nikita to find the Cryptograph though they were ambushed by soldiers dispatched by Amanda. One of these soldiers were captured but remained unconscious and during an attempt to find an anomaly in his body the medical staff accidently triggered a trap bio-weapon that released sarin gas that killed a number of Division operatives. This was an intentional plan by Amanda who had allowed her soldier to be captured and used as a weapon against the Division's headquarters. However, Ari believed that this was a mistake and that Amanda had perhaps now united Division against them. Amanda remained confident that this was not the case and used the Cryptograph to hack into Division's communications where she asked for some of the agency's members to join her whilst those that sided with Nikita were going to be terminated. (Episode: Consequences)

Amanda Collins became the most wanted person by Division. (Episode: Intersection) Despite the new policy in no kill missions, Division was authorized by the President to kill Kosovan dictator Kosta Beciraj. Their effectiveness in the operation made the government administration consider the further possibilities of Division's future. This led to the restart in the assassination missions when the President authorized four additional targets for elimination. (Episode: Brave New World)

Overview

They had no protocol for extracting a captured agent as the former director allowed captured operatives to remain detained. Any captured agent that spoke of the Division, however, saw an assassin from the agency sent to kill the compromised operative in order to silence them. (Episode: True Believer) Certain agents were reapers that were tasked with eliminating fellow agent's and their families that were called internal sanctions. Such individuals tended not to be based at headquarters due to the animosity other agents felt towards them. (Episode: The Sword's Edge)

Undercover agents standard skills included making contact with the target, engage their interest and escalate their interest. (Episode: Survival Instinct) Cleaners were tasked with eliminating individuals and removing any trace of them. (Episode: Aftermath) Agents were trained in SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape) classes that trained them for operations when trapped in enemy territory. (Episode: Survival Instinct)

Under Percy's administration, the policy of Division was to obey or die. (Episode: The Sword's Edge) It was forbidden for agents and staff to hold relationships between one another under Amanda's policy. (Episode: Intersection) Amanda had made use of kill chips that served as trackers and terminated rogue agents. (Episode: Sideswipe) When activated remotely, the chip's explosive detonated whereby blood was evident in the eyes of the user and spilled from their nose as they died. (Episode: Intersection)

Much of the technology available to Division came from high-tech suppliers from around the world that were given by suppliers under Percy's administration. This group provided state of the art equipment from kill chips, brain scanners, trackers that worked around the world and masks that allowed agents to disguise themselves as other people. In the new Division, much of these resources provided by these contacts was lost with only leftovers being left behind under the new administration. (Episode: Aftermath) One of the drugs used by the agency included Sobolex were experimental painkiller designed for combat use. (Episode: Intersection)

Members

  • Baker : a male member of the administrative team who was skilled computer technician and was active when Division went under new management. Despite the change, he remained loyal to Amanda and served as a secondary mole that watched Sonya to ensure her loyalty. He was ultimately exposed by Nikita and her close allies where he was knocked unconscious by Alexis. (Episode: Intersection)
  • Liam : a cleaner who later became a rogue entrepreneur that sold his services to other parties. (Episode: Aftermath)
  • Nikita Mears :
  • Ray : a former soldier in the Gulf who trained operatives in military operations when trapped in enemy territory. (Episode: Survival Instinct)
  • Watchman : a legend within Division whose true name was only known to Percy and Amanda where they used him as a close surveillance expert whose specialty was vanishing from the scene as he changed his appearance regularly. Unlike other operatives, he never had a file and his secondary job was to investigate Division agents and provide clandestine checks on everyone to ensure no breaches in security. He would side with Amanda following the change in Division where he provided covert information for her in exchange for regular payments. (Episode: Intersection)
