Knowhere is a location that features in Marvel Comics.

Overview
The origins of this station were not known except that at some point in the past, a powerful member of the Celestial species was killed and its severed head remained floating in space near the end of the Universe. The cause of the act was uncertain and no one entirely knew as to what had killed the powerful god-like being. What was known was that since that time, the head had begun to drift closer to the end of space-time and at some point in the future, it would cease to exist.
Knowhere's location made it a perfect location for an interdimensional crossroads as well as an observatory for the End of the Universe as it bordered along The Rip. It also served as a port of call for various intergalactic travellers and has since been protected by its chief of security, Cosmo. In addition, it possessed minor facilities for closer observations of the end of the universe as well as a main hall, marketplace, and a bar called Starlin's. Travellers at the station were required to wear Cosmo's special "passport" bracelets which allowed instant teleportation to and from anywhere in the universe. This was accomplished through the Celestial heads "Continuum Cortex" that was located near its brain-stem through which sensors detected subtle disturbances in space-time that occured in the vicinity of The Rip.
Currently, the station was being used as headquarters for the Guardians of the Galaxy and was facilitated by both Cosmo and Richard Rider. (Inside Look: Guardians of the Galaxy #1 by DnA, Broken Frontier, May 21, 2008])

Films
- In the Guardians of the Galaxy film, Knowhere was featured and described as the severed head of a Celestial being that was slain. The head floated in space where a mining colony was established to harvest it of its organic components. Among its inhabitants included the Collector who maintained one of his museums at the site. Gamora took Peter Quill, Drax, Rocket Raccoon and Groot to Knowhere in order to sell the orb that contained an Infinity Stone. However, a vengeful Drax sent out a signal to call Ronan and his forces to the planet in order to challenge the Kree Accuser to a fight which he lost. After recovering the stone, Ronan's forces departed Knowhere for Xandar to conduct their purge of the planet.
