S.W.O.R.D. came to register an unknown extraterrestrial object that had crashed on Earth with Jessica Drew volunteering to investigate but contact was lost with her. This resulted in Director Brand approaching Commander Steve Rogers who organised the Avengers to recover their teammate and Abigail accompanying them. They found Spider-Woman a captive of the [[Intelligencia (Marvel)|Intelligencia]] who captured her when she had discovered a crashed [[Spaceknights|Spaceknight]] that they sought to study. The Avengers defeated the team of supervillain geniuses at which point the Spaceknight activated and was revealed to contain the mind of the [[Ultron]] A.I. who reshaped its form into a new body for himself. He defeated the Avengers with Abigail revealing that S.W.O.R.D.'s monitoring of galactic chatter revealed that Ultron had created havoc in other parts of the universe but had now returned to Earth as Iron Man worried about the threat posed by their old foe.
