Martin Stein was an inhabitant of [[Earth-3]] which was a world where the alignment of many individuals was reversed with this version of the character being a mad scientist who was obsessed with finding the secret of life through death. Professor Stein was noted to had conducted countless human experiments on the homeless with him later being recruited by an organisation who wanted him to find weaknesses amongst the members of the [[Crime Syndicate of America]]. Stein instead used the resources he gained to bind himself into a corpse thus gaining superhuman abilities as he became Deathstorm. Martin Stein was an inhabitant of Earth-3 which was a world where the alignment of many individuals was reversed with this version of the character being a mad scientist who was obsessed with finding the secret of life through death. Professor Stein was noted to had conducted countless human experiments on the homeless with him later being recruited by an organisation who wanted him to find weaknesses amongst the members of the Crime Syndicate of America. Stein instead used the resources he gained to bind himself into a corpse thus gaining superhuman abilities as he became Deathstorm. Notes

  • The concept of Deathstorm was created by Geoff Johns, Peter Tomasi, Ivan Reis, Patrick Gleason and Joe Prado where it made its first appearance in Brightest Day v1 #10 (November, 2010).

Alternate Versions

  • In The Curse of Brimstone v1 #11 (2019), an alternate version of Deathstorm was shown to exist within the Dark Multiverse. This version was from a world where Ronnie Raymond and Jason Rusch died with Martin Stein using the Firestorm Matrix to bond with their corpses where he became a supervillain called Infernal. During the collapse of his reality, he looked to escape his world by creating a rift from the chaos.
