Ronnie Raymond was a [[Black Lantern Corps]] version of [[Firestorm (DC)|Firestorm]] that came to survive his initial destruction in the [[Blackest Night]]. He came to reside within the [[Firestorm Matrix]] and remained in hiding until he came to manifest himself in his own body. At the time, [[Martin Stein]] had been conducting tests on Ronnie Raynmond and [[Jason Rusch]] where he determined that the Firestorm Matrix was a spark for the Big Bang that could threaten to end all of existence. Ronnie Raymond was a Black Lantern Corps version of Firestorm that came to survive his initial destruction in the Blackest Night. He came to reside within the Firestorm Matrix and remained in hiding until he came to manifest himself in his own body. At the time, Martin Stein had been conducting tests on Ronnie Raynmond and Jason Rusch where he determined that the Firestorm Matrix was a spark for the Big Bang that could threaten to end all of existence. Notes

  • The concept of Deathstorm was created by Geoff Johns, Peter Tomasi, Ivan Reis, Patrick Gleason and Joe Prado where it made its first appearance in Brightest Day v1 #10 (November, 2010).

Alternate Versions

  • In The Curse of Brimstone v1 #11 (2019), an alternate version of Deathstorm was shown to exist within the Dark Multiverse. This version was from a world where Ronnie Raymond and Jason Rusch died with Martin Stein using the Firestorm Matrix to bond with their corpses where he became a supervillain called Infernal. During the collapse of his reality, he looked to escape his world by creating a rift from the chaos.
