Jimmy barely survived HORDR's attack and Contessa took him to safety whilst Superman took on his sand duplicate clone. Superman baited the duplicate into using a solar flare, intending to use the explosion to recharge himself and leave the clone vulnerable. It only partially worked as Superman did not regain his powers but the sand clone was turned to glass allowing the Man of Steel to shatter him. Clark returned to the hideout to find Condesa had turned all the electronics against Yurei, trapping her in a metallic prison. Yurei realized her part in the plot was over thus revealing that despite his victory, Clark Kent would not be safe as HORDR_ROOT would hunt him down with or without her. Taking Jimmy Olsen, he had the human's body dressed in the guise of Hordr_Root whilst his mind took control of him. Later, Clark and Haemosu put on the scheduled brawl but this time HORDR_ROOT and his group of robots and Quarmers crashed into the Thousand One House. However, unlike their past encounters, this time it turned out to be a trap that Clark had made for HORDR_ROOT. Alongside his minions, they attacked Superman where his ally Mayari created a bubble around the arena that traps them all inside and blocks all communication and signals.
