History
The Sharg were a monstrous race of giant insectoids that plagued worlds around the galaxy.
On Earth, a training exercise was conducted by newly assigned Robo pilots. It was in this time that the Sharg emerged on the planet and began attacking the populace. The cadets fought against the monsters and were nearly overwhelmed until reinforcements came from experienced veteran Captain Tanaka who helped destroy the Sharg. Despite this, the cadets were hailed as heroes for fighting the alien threat. (Mech Cadet Yu v1 #4) However, the Sharg had done a great deal of damage to the global defense ring. A search was conducted after it was discovered that the Shargs had eggs in them that could have been laid elsewhere on the planet.
