Following the Flashpoint, a new version of reality was created with a different series of events.

He eventually took part in Project: O.T.A.C. that he believed would change everything. O.T.A.C. was the Omniscient Transformation Advanced Cell that was an intelligent cell that could be programmed to form any organic tissue desired. With it, Silas thought it could be used to revolutionise the field of tissue regeneration as the cells could emulate or replace vital organs. He became fixated on the completion of the project with the rush causing it to explode during irradiation treatment that injured his wife Elinore Stone and causing the development of cancer within her body in later years. The guilt drove a new obsession as he began looking for a cure for his wife and began to neglect his own son Victor Stone. Secretly, Silas used the O.T.A.C. material to clone himself 13 times and used these replicants as guinea pigs to develop a cure for his wife's cancer. Despite his efforts, his wife perished from her disease and Silas disposed of the replicants. Unknown to him, the bodies were taken by black market dealers who decided to use them for experiments. This caused one of the O.T.A.C.s that was the thirteenth and last of the clones to gain sentience and develop more human characteristics of his creator. Unknown to anyone, this O.T.A.C. resented his creator and called himself Anomaly with him seeking revenge against Silas Stone. (Cyborg v2 #9)

• Silas Stone was created by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez where he made his first appearance in DC Comics Presents v1 #26 (October 1980).

Alternate Versions

• In Cyborg v1 (2015), an alternate reality version of Silas Stone was badly wounded whereupon he added the Cyborg technology into his own body that brought the attention of the Technosapiens who ravaged his Earth. A few of the survivors formed a resistance group called the Tekbreakers that were led by their version of Sarah Charles that sought to stop the alien cybernetic menace.

• In Justice League: War, the character made amultiple appearance in the animated movie where he was voiced by actor Rocky Carroll. Similar to the comic storyline, he was shown as being a S.T.A.R. Labs scientist and father of Victor Stone where he disapproved of his sons focus on sports as he wanted him to become a scientist. Silas's disapproval led to him neglecting his son and not appearing at his football games. When Victor was caught in the blast radius of a Boom Tube, he was critically wounded with Silas Stone desperate to save him. He took him into S.T.A.R. Labs where he used the technology he was studying to save his son's life. This saw unknown technology being grafted onto him that was responsible for turning Victor Stone into Cyborg.
• In Justice League: Throne of Atlantis, the character made a cameo appearance in the animated movie where he was shown in a photograph.
• In Justice League: Gods and Monsters, the character appeared in the alternate reality setting of the animated movie where he was voiced by actor Carl Lumbly. He was shown as being the father of Victor Stone who was a young boy with Silas also being part of the government's Project: Fair Play initiative. This was a secret program tasked with developing countermeasures and weapons to fight the Justice League if they went rogue. Silas was invited to the Justice League's tower where Superman asked him to decrypt Kryptonian datafiles so that he could learn more of his past. Back at his warehouse laboratory, the reside came under attack from an android that shared Superman's powerset. Silas and his son Victor used the weapons in the laboratory to fight the machine but were burnt alive by heat vision leading behind skeletal remains. The attack along with others like it made the world believe the Justice League were targeting key scientists around the world.
• In Batman Unlimited: Monster Mayhem, Dr. Stone made an appearance in the animated movie where he was voiced by actor Cedric Yarbrough.
• In the DC Extended Universe, Silas Stone made multiple appearances in the shared continuity setting.
  • In Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Silas Stone made a brief appearance in the live-action film where he was portrayed by actor Joe Morton, Jr. He was shown in recordings taken by Lex Luthor that covered the activities of various Metahumans. Silas Stone was working at S.T.A.R. Labs where he was conducting experiments to save the ruined body of his son through the use of cybernetics.
  • In Justice League, Silas Stone appeared in the 2017 live-action film where he was portrayed again by actor Joe Morton. He was shown as head scientist at S.T.A.R. Labs who was in charge of studying the Change Engine that was an ancient relic so old that it could not be dated. This was actually one of the three Mother Boxes left in hiding on Earth long ago which was discovered to be a perpetual energy matrix of unlimited potential. During the study, an accident occurred with his wife killed and his son Victor Stone being fatally wounded. Silas decided to use the power of the Mother Box to save his son causing him to be transformed into a cyborg. In the aftermath, officially his son was declared dead and was in hiding where he resented his fathers efforts as Victor believed he had been turned into a monster. During this time, he was attacked by Parademon who abducted him on behalf of its master Steppenwolf who was looking to recover the three Mother Boxes. Silas joined the other kidnapped S.T.A.R. Labs scientists that were being interrogated and killed by Steppenwolf. However, Silas was saved when the nascent Justice League formed who rescued them before they could be all killed.
